Progress Update (1)


After a very intense back in forth with my roommate, on which items to project on, i’ve Come to the conclusion of a Framed Picture, Marilyn Monroe Picture, and the 3rd item is TBD.

AS OF NOW THE VIDEOS THAT I AM CONSTRUCTING WILL project directly on to these 3 different items, in hopes of seeing 3 different perspectives, of what people think of life. The 3rd projection item will possibly be a student sitting in a chair.

However, the 3 different elements represents the 3 different mediums that people can endure through the duration of life, that a human being can potentially experience in a certain chapter in life.

The Reality of Racial Injustices

Racial profiling and how the media distributes it to the public can be sometimes conflicting. In a world full of media, it is imperative that the information being presented is 1) true and 2) credible in its nature. The topic I choose to explore is how media sometimes can facilitate inaccuracies. Despite media being the main source of how we retrieve and get our daily news, recent stories have come back with all-inclusive evidence pertaining African Americans. The society, in which we live, is consumed through media and most importantly with different media outlets. Journalist, writers, and publishers write and make their stories based off the fact for being the primary respondents to media occurrence. These individuals are first to distribute and either 1) excite people or 2) disappoint people to a state of irritation. (2D)Pacman Grid Art (Marcus G)

For my Grid Art project I took a different approach. I wanted to capture multiple elements of art in one project, thus I incorporated different aspects of art. I thought to myself, what will capture the visual aesthetics of other humans and their artistic vision. From U]T, to my house (all over), to the backyard, to the beach, in my room, I used the traditional grid of a cardboard box. Made with glitter.
