The Perks of Using Plugins
Welcome back! As you continue to learn multiple techniques for increasing your audio production, make sure to target an actual sound that you like. Getting the sound you desire can be very easy if you know whom or what sound you would like to emulate. In contrast, it can be rather challenging if you are unsure of what exactly it is you want to sound like. Along with the numerous effects that can be applied to your vocal and audio tracks, there is also something known as a (n) Plugin. Plugins are commonly known as an add-on or an extension to what is already in place. They can be very effective in determining a solid sound and they are used to enhance the overall functionality within the computer program or software you are using. Primarily the purpose of the Plug-In is to help the processes of the computer program to include, but is not limited to: functionality, signal processing, and sometimes even the sound synthesis. As artist, it’s very imperative to do your research when looking for Plug-ins to potentially use. Common sites like YouTube, Beatstars, and even Google, provide you the necessary tools to propel amongst the competition. *Included is a very helpful link for aspiring music producers & artist*. Auto-Tune is a very common Plug-In function that many artist and producers use when composing a song. Auto-Tune allows you to alter the pitch of your original recording in the Music Scale. Ex: If you have recorded a piece of audio in the pitch of C major, the Auto-Tune Plugin allows you to change the scaling and place it into a different pitch. Often times, this gives artist a different sound that they experiment with additional Reverb, Delay, and Echo. This particular blog entry should help you in many different ways.
