Final Artist Statement

Your craft is you Your past desires The inspiration you deserve From pinnacles of flyer The sun is set The mood is to Are you living for them Or living for you From different states To different plates All motivation For being great. Inspire to be iconic Or mosey through the shadows The sunrises everyday It gives us the ladder. Creation is art Art is creation The feeling of greatness Such a beautiful sensation

Final Instructions

In order to make this installation functional you must first ensure there is ample amount of room spacing suited and geared for a big audience, you must then account and take into consideration how many chairs you think would be suitable for the occasion. With that in mind, arrange the chairs in an orderly fashion, as if watching an improv comedy show. To ensure the proper lightning for the designation, a switch board is essential for the overhead lighting. When utilizing the switch board which controls the lights (brightness), be sure to find and or make custom light settings with the slider knobs suitable , to capture the ambiance of the stage. The project in itself can take up an entire 2 door garage space wise.  So the more space the better.   Keep in mind, you must accommodate for the unexpected audience size and factor in the walking space for the artist or artists. Once the lights are at a setting of comfort, the chairs are setup for the audience, and the space is ample, you

Final Project

For this project, going beyond the means and thinking completely outside of the box, was a given. I thought to myself, how can I, as an artist integrate and embellish and element of real life. Well for one, I thought to one of my strengths in music. Awww yesss. That’s it! From there I center the focal point of my project around true artistry. Multiple reasons go into why I made this specific project. The project to me represents a state of mind where I am at, in the foreseeable future. I want to give off the persona of a poet, incorporating the art of a music artist, displaying his talent in front of fans (crowd.) For this project, my ideal mindset going into it, is to keep people in suspense as to what is going. Sitting down and or pacing around, I will gather the courage and recite a life story of mine. Complimented by a musical piece that I create, I will rhythmically recite a short-spoken word, rather minuet song. The song itself or poem itself means a lot to me, because

Here is a glimpse at the art supplies created to make King Boo. Boo will be the banner on display during the performance.   This is the most pivotal asset of the presentation. As a New Media Production Major I have access to the studio here on campus and was able to persuade Dr. B. This is the microphone and Amp that will be present, as the projection for my voice.

Here's an update as to what i did yesterday. Wrapping up the lose ends and perfecting the craft of sketching "Bu", i made my way to a store located in Soho named "Paper Source.: From there i did a little browse on some of the art items i could use to make the banner. In luck, i found paper and art supplies that will compliment the banner back drop for my final performance.  Here is a quick preview of the process of creating cutting, gluing, applying glitter.... Yeah you get the point. It wasn't to hard, but it was tedious. Here's what the sketch is looking like so far. I plan on wrapping up and purchasing more necessities to fill in for what you see. This is the banner, created from scratch. It's probably bigger then your average human girth. Hanging from the ceiling of the black-box, it will be displayed slightly over my head, as i create the environment of a live show.

Progress Report #2

Progression on this project has been incredible. As noted above, here is an example of what the actual poster banner for my backdrop will look like. I took the time to practice drawing and constructing everything from scratch. Despite this image being a darker boo, unfortunately at the store, during the time there were no more bigger pieces of art material to reflect the same color. So I may have to go with a traditional white. The banner itself will be bigger then the average human body.   This is a template for me to build on and over this weekend. I will be finishing the final banner to hang and drape as I perform a spoken word.   ** The audio track for this is complete, but as of now I am choosing between one of two instrumentations that I have constructed from scratch**   Practicing today, I will recite and rehearse the spoken word. The footage for it will be taken during class and later uploaded to the site, to give you a feel of how the operation will go next
