Where You Should be Uploading Music



Howdy, welcome back! As we transition away  from Plug-Ins, we will discuss where you can upload your music. For the most part, artist are familiar with many different platforms where they are able to display their music. However, in today’s blog post we will be discussing some of those sites, as well as some the features for those sites. Many artist have a purpose for making music, so they can be heard. In a challenging industry, there is competition globally. How you promote your music is completely subjective to you, however some common places to upload your music are : YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud, etc. These sites are primarily catered to aspiring artist. Use these different platforms to promote the music you’ve created. Exposure, Networking, and Consistency are three very important tips to being successful. Many artist generate there beginning fan base through these different sites. The sites themselves allow you to upload your music in Mp3 or Wav format. Depending on the nature of the site, there may or may not be a limitation to how many tracks you can upload. Like any site online, there are terms and agreements that you must read and confirm with prior to uploading your music. Typically, minimal fees are associated with creating or uploading your music. These sites provide you with different sub categories to place your music under. Hip Hop, R n B, Rock, Jazz, Country, Pop, EDM, etc. I encourage you to take advantage of any opportunity presented to you as an artist or producer.
