Progress Report #1

Image
he above picture is the pre process of what the final performance will look like. Despite the Camera being directly in the front, i will have my camera set up behind the audience in a similar like position. Accompanying each guest chair, will be a complimentary beverage (undecided) and a snack refreshment or the duration of the spoken word. Here is an image of the spotlight setup. I messed around with a couple of settings in my adventures and found the correct lightning that i want, illustrated in the above picture. I will use this as a legend key when do the actual performance to set an ambiance of being on the stage. The sole intention of the project is to project "One's Self-Individuality." I will express this by having an instrumentation, constructed from scratch; being played and mixed by none other then our own "Dj Joey Jam." He will be in the back and the music levels and volumes will be controlled by him, with the speakers provided in the black

Yayo Kusama Room

Image
Everyday there is a new opportunity for exponential growth in life. Different opportunities, different views and views. Over the break I had a chance to visit a very special experiment in the Kusama exhibit, located downtown in the Art Museum of Tampa. The experience in itself was everything more than expected. During my visitation, I took the time to study a few different things In relation to the artist. Me as an artist, I took meaningful insight on more then just the exhibit, I took special note of the art display, the poem and meaning of the words, and essentially the overall experience. A few things I noticed immediately about the artist prior to entering the exhibit, were the meaningful words behind the inspiration of the art. The display and fashion in which the art was presented, and most importantly the art. My experience broken down was more then what I personally expected. Entering the museum, I knew the connotations associated with Art Museums, so cognizant

Final Artist Research (Heather Hart)

All good things must come to an end, and Heather Hart is the last and final artist i will be reviewing for the semester "Ocular Rooftop Experience and Judgement"   "My work explores nostalgic futurism, amalgams of distorted traditions and symbols, handed down and mashed-up to fit our prospective needs. My works are meant to expand with public programing and viewer activation. I am interested in not only creating site-specific miniminal space for personal reclamation but also in questioning dominant narratives and creating alternatives to them."   Picking one installation by this artist, the above." This particular piece intrigued and grabbed my attention for several reasons. The art put into it, the presentation, and the subtle colors.  I found it interesting that she incorporated the themes that she typically associates her art with. Her theme being "rooftops". More so, i took away alot of meaning from this drawing. Initially, i thoug

Final Project

Image
Greetings, It's been a fun ride and making it to the end of the semester is always great right? Well in this case yes. I've enjoyed the ability to learn and comprehend how to use projection mapping, that for my final project, I've decided to do something incorporating such. For the last and final project, i intend on recreating my logo artistically and using some sort of projection mapping in a confined space of the Black-box. With that being said, i haven't wrapped my fingers around the exact details of whether or not i would like to perform. If i do decide to perform i will be constructing a poem or a song, to openly express my love for music and art in general. A music video including projection mapping isn't all the way out of the ruling however, i'm still in a limbo as far as what song i would want to perform. Given no constraints, i will be trying to incorporate as much stuff pertaining to music. However the art side of things, everything will

Project 3 Final (HavocWorld)

Image
For this project, I decided to work individually. I've chose to re-create a red carpet/ interactive runway, that engages all people no matter age, race, or ethnicity, to freely express themselves. The project itself, was done intentionally by myself, to exploit and utilize and put forth the meaning of togetherness. There will be a fashion show theme, minus smoke (smoke Detectors), and cool ambiance, of lights and incorporated colors (Blackbox). From there, I will check in the fashion models for the day, as if it are a real fashion show. At the front door you will wait in the lobby or in the classroom in the order that you decide. 1)You will check in with me @ the Blackbox. You will give me your full name and a title of a song that best describes you. This is pivotal because essentially, each participant in the class will walk the "stage" and express themselves however they want. 2) Once you have walked the strip and taken a minimum of 2 photos. You have

Project 3 (Progress Update)

This What the stage setup will be for everyone in class to fully pic one song of choice, 30 secs, pose for the camera and do there runway strut type deal. All the chairs will be aligned as if it were a runway, with the projection installation on the back portion of the wall, or a curtain or canvas that i purchase. The students will start from the opposite side of the stage and pic This will be the interactive backdrop for the entire shoot, looping. Or the one under. Im kind of torn between two, but essentially one of these will be the back drop. I will be acting as a live photographer. So active participation is required from the class in entirety.

Artist Research (Mel Chin)

Picking one installation by this artist, I had to go with the “Sea to See." This particular piece intrigued and grabbed my attention because it dealt with the underworld life of water. The worked focused on oceans which was the median of connection for the installation. It was amazing to see how the artist created an environment of an aquarium more so, the depth's of the oceans. For me a was a refreshing piece, that was simple, that gave a cinematic feel of being underwater. Interestingly, the art itself has substantial meaning and purpose. The collaborative efforts of Chin and others focus, was to present ocean transformation of 100 years plus. Initially, i had no clue as for what, but apparently the purpose is t convey the impact of human constructions (IE: canals, bridges, pass-ways) and there effects on the ecology of the oceans. Digitized data visualization were incorporated as well. Real facts. The ability to create a visually pleasing and soothing environment was c
